You’ve been holding it all together. But lately, it’s getting harder.

Therapy for adults in Maryland navigating life transitions, cultural adjustment, or ADHD — support for when life looks manageable on the outside but feels heavier on the inside.

I work with thoughtful, capable adults who look like they’re managing — but feel exhausted underneath.

For a long time, you may have been able to push through. You adapted, stayed capable, and kept going — even when things felt demanding or uncertain. But lately, something isn’t working the way it used to.

You might notice that when you get home and you try to relax that your body is still tense - or you feel compelled to keep doing things even though you’re tired.

And speaking of tired…how has your sleep been lately?

You might notice that it’s harder to fall asleep…even when you’re exhausted or you wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the next day. Your brain won’t shut down.

Daily life takes more effort than before. You may still be functioning and meeting expectations…while quietly feeling worn down, unsettled, or not quite like yourself.

Life transitions, cultural expectations, and years of holding multiple roles can gradually erode capacity — especially for thoughtful, capable adults who are used to managing a lot. Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel understood, and regain steadier footing, without pressure to label or immediately explain everything.

Together, we slow down, listen inward, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself so you can move through life with more clarity and calm.

Therapy with me can help you:

  • Reduce anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm
  • Work through cultural pressure, perfectionism, or shame
  • Make sense of burnout as capacity changes over time
  • Manage ADHD in ways that feel sustainable rather than exhausting
  • Navigate major life transitions, including relocation or career shifts
  • Reconnect with your values and feel more grounded in your choices

Hi, I'm Sharon.

Before I became a therapist, I was a teacher. I spent years advocating for students who were struggling emotionally and not getting the support they needed. My brother has ADHD, so I saw early on how easily people can be misunderstood when their internal experience doesn’t match external expectations.

Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, caring adults who are doing their best but still feel like things have become harder than they should be. You may be navigating burnout, identity shifts, or cultural expectations that leave you feeling unsettled or unsure of yourself. Some clients come without clear language for what’s happening; others arrive with a diagnosis, such as ADHD, hoping that naming it would bring relief, yet still feel confused about why exhaustion or overwhelm persists. You may know what you need to do, but starting or sustaining it feels harder than it should.

In our work together, we create space for all of this. We focus first on helping your nervous system feel steadier, then gently explore patterns, build regulation skills, and clarify what matters to you. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You’re welcome to arrive just as you are.
